About AIRMA
Who We Are
The Association Internationale pour la Recherche sur la Maladie d’Alzheimer (AIRMA) is a French non-profit organisation. AIRMA was established in Paris in March 2003 with the two-fold mission to fund scientific research programs and to educate the public about Alzheimer’s disease.
Funding Scientific Research Programs
AIRMA funded its first research program in November 2003. In 2004, we granted 3 new research projects and other funding will be granted each year.
Educating the Public
We also have a mission to educate the public. We regularly send brochures and other documents on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Through these mailings, we aim to spread awareness and increase understanding of this disease.
Governance
AIRMA was declared at police headquarters in Paris on March 10, 2003 and published in the Journal Officiel on March 22, 2003. AIRMA is regulated by the law of July 1, 1901.
